"The original" leather postal messenger bag

"Handcrafted, meticulously finished American leather. J.Crew has faithfully recreated the beautiful, oil-tanned mailbags carried by the U.S. Postal Service from 1868 until the 1970s, when the original leather satchels were replaced by blue nylon bags. Designed to improve with age, our hand-oiled, hand-stained, hand-burnished postal messengers are sewn by experienced artisans on century-old machines. Each piece of leather is carefully selected for quality; each historically correct, heavy copper rivet is set by hand. As a result, each "original" leather postal messenger is one of a kind with its own unique character. Buckle-strap closure on flap. Interior back-wall patch pocket. Unlined. "

The Hill-Side Scarf in Indigo Chambray

"You_Have_Broken_The_Internet blog points us out to this wonderful scarf by Hill-Side. While the chambray love is still strong amongst the shirt circle, Hill-Side gives us a unique accessory for the fall season. The stitch detailing is superb as well as the color contrast of the indigo chambray and the lining. A number of these scarves will be available in November in Indigo, Black, Plum Violet, and Kyoto Violet."

Shades of Greige Round Collar Coat

"Fall weather can be deceptive, and it’s better to leave the house prepared then get caught in the wind in a t-shirt and wish you had a jacket. Luckily Shades of Greige made us a gorgeous blue round collar coat to beat the chill. A fresh shade of navy blue accented by brown wooden buttons and a brown leather strap for the neck are the hallmarks of the piece, not to mention it looks like it fits great. The tempting 220 dollar price tag makes it a must cop for a nice light jacket for fall and for spring when the ice starts to melt. Available at Need Supply."

Messagerie Autumn / Winter 2009

"High-end Italian label Messagerie may not be a world-wide house hold name just yet but their new Autumn/Winter 2009 collection is indication that it’ll be sooner than later before they are. Meaning delivery in French, Messagerie brings forth this elegance and class found in other collections dominated by an abundance of formal wear without being so formal. Lost on that one? Well, the proof is in their extensive look book which only features two suits, one tux, and a handful of jeans. This shows that Messagerie’s direction isn’t centered around one item or theme for this collection. Every look could’ve been worn from the runway out to any city streets and at the end of the day, that level of wearability and simple elegance is what men’s fashion should be all about, just ask Ralph Lauren. The designers at Messagerie seem to understand that concept very well.

No word yet on availability in the U.S. but there are many showrooms across Europe that carry the line. For more details on retailers and shops, visit the site."

Dunhill Fall 2009 Campaign

"Change must be a hard concept for British label Dunhill. For his fourth consecutive season, actor Jude Law is the face of Dunhill’s campaign. This time around, Law is supposed to represent a modern maverick directing a cast and crew at Shepperton Studios. Same muse, different season–do you think Law will add another season to his growing portfolio?"
